a dip into steamboats winter || colorado adventures

When people heard the word that I was going to be calling steamboat home I got a lot of, “oh are you going to be able to handle the winter?” What do you mean?!? Of course I’ll be able to survive winter! I am from Colorado afterall. I will admit that we had a pretty mild winter in these parts, but none the less I dove head first into it and not only surived… but enjoyed every minute of it! It’s a beautiful time of the year, that sadlly quite a few parts of the world don’t ever get to experience. The best days are those ones when it’s too cold to take Tilly out because her little paws will freeze, so we bundle up inside and enjoy a break from getting out there. Sipping tea, catching up on good reading, practicing our yoga moves. On the good days there is something about breathing in that cold air, and being surrounded by nature in the winter seems even more quite and serene than in the summer. I’m looking forward to the warmer days, but looking back at these pictures also makes me miss the white flakes!
